nfstat, NetFlow Statistics

Stanislav Shalunov

The program nfstat is used to produce weekly human-readable NetFlow statistics reports from raw NetFlow v5 data produced by Cisco or Juniper routers (and others). The data is expected to be collected using the flow-tools package (nfstat understands flow-tools internal format).

This program comes with no warranty (see LICENSE file in the distribution). The installation process expects that you will want to customize the program for your organization's needs. Some understanding of NetFlow and its collection, basic Unix literacy, and some knowledge of Perl are required to run the program.

Mnemonic: NetFlow STATistics.

This software package is rather narrowly specialized; in case it does not serve your needs with respect to processing NetFlow data, see Simon Leinen's list of NetFlow software.
